Slightly off the wall question:
Does ChNN Rinpoche teach a practice of Yeshe Tsogyal?
By the way, the help I've received so far in this thread has been really generous and... helpful. Thank you.

Re: Vajrayogini
in what ways could I work with Vajrayogini without an empowerment? Rob You can do prostrations to her, make offerings to her, and pray to her, etc. Make aspirations for your connection to grow and for the opportunity to get her empowerment to arise. And are there any people throughout history that ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
I have a question about the Song of the Vajra. Is the tune - as sung by Rinpoche during transmission - essential to the song, or is a simple incantation/one's own tune OK for everyday practice? And if the tune is essential, is there any musical notation for it anywhere?

Re: Vajrayogini
I'm another one who arrived at the Dharma through Vajrayogini. A lifelong connection to Her in various forms, lots of searching... You know. Everyone who has said get the empowerment is right. If you have the connection to Vajrayogini, She is a Tantric deity and the only way to take things to their ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
Depends what you mean by Guruyoga of the white Ah. The CD Jikan posted is really for the invocation of Garab Dorje, which is a great practice, IMO. However, If you are referring to the "ultrashort" practice, the newish Guruyoga book is probably the best source of information. In fact if you are a n...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
Apologies in advance, because this is basic and I'm sure this has been asked many, many times before (couldn't find the answer by searching, though...) BUT: Is the Guruyoga of the White A written down anywhere? I received it in a transmission last year but I'm worried that the whole thing is very mu...

Compassion involves empathy, not pity. Pity is dualistic, empathy is non-dual.

Re: Dreaming of Ekajati
Thanks for all the replies.
I think that this experience wasn't primarily about Ekajati. What is important is the blurring of the border between dream-state and waking. I'm obviously going to have to explore dream yoga.

Re: Dreaming of Ekajati
Some people say life is like a dream, but not a dream. They reject the notion that life is not dream. Dream is dream. Life is life. They separate dream as unreal, life is real, as if these two are separate world. Life is a dream, or life is like a dream? From your dream experience, which one do you...

Dreaming of Ekajati
Ekajati made a brief but powerful appearance in a dream last night. The context was wistful, almost pleasantly sad: what the Portuguese call saudade, perhaps. Definitely not upsetting but extremely significant. This on top of a snatch of lucid dreaming which woke me up to the realization that I was ...

Re: Capacity for following Dzogchen
I know a few old time practitioners and they have specific problems which are subtle and hard to overcome. The root cause for these obstacles is the idea of achievement. The more practices they do the more obscurations they gather. They also suffer a lot from pride thinking that the natural state i...

Re: The Buddhism trend in decline.
[ Many people following Dzogchen teachings have concrete knowledge [rigpa] of their primordial potentiality, including some people who post on this forum. The rest of the people following Dzogchen teachings are actively trying to discover that potentiality so they can be in that knowledge. M Hearte...

Re: The Buddhism trend in decline.
Actually, I'm very curious about this. How many practitioners are actually experiencing rigpa?pueraeternus wrote: How many really have the experience of rigpa?
