Re: Is it better to gain enlightenment first versus trying to do as many charitable deeds as possible?

Enlightment is knowing ones path of life to progress.
Moksh (freedom from attachments) is a mirage as per Lotus sutra.
Doing charitable deeds is the path to becoming bhoddisattva.........the only right path.

Abiding in EMPTINESS.

"All Buddhas past present and future "abide in emptiness" and follow the path of "sutra of one vehicle" This is what is written in translation of Lotus sutra by Burton Watson. How to "Abide in Emptiness". Are there any degrees of emptiness that one goes through in ...

Re: Lotus Sutra - Buddha Rebirth?

Take a drop of water which flows out of Buddha pond. If we conceive it we will name it a buddha drop of water. After flowing away its name has been changed to drop of water . Budha name disappears. Now this drop of water comes in contact with red color. Its name will change to red drop of water. All...

Re: Is love an illusion?

At the age of 16 I loved a girl deeply. She ditched me then but even now at the age of 85 I remember her with happiness. In between thousands of time I have remembered her with happiness. But when I understood Emptiness and the Lotus sutra. I now know that it was a very harmful incident that has ham...

Sooner or later or a few births later you will experience the FINAL TRUTH that every existence (including emotions like love) that your senses see are an illusion.

Re: Hello from India

You can easily get all the answers and experience by following these instructions. 1. Join any vipassana centre either in India or any where in the world. This is basically done to develop vipassana SIGHT to see sensations in the body. If you have joined a vipassana center under Goenka than modify i...

Re: Are we our bodies?

"we" "our" "bodies" have no reality. Every second they are changing. Their ultimate destination is Lotus sutra . Lotus sutra acts out as a juicer. It takes out the juice named "WISDOM", when the body is ripe and ready. This WISDOM is always reshaping the CREAT...

Re: Emptiness and appearences

I meet many westerners who believe they are God or something similar. Especially you can find them online. Sadly there is nothing to it. It's just a quite common psychic disorder. As soon as something comes to put stress on them, the heavenly equanimity, love and compassion are gone. I think, God w...

Carefulness is not relying too much on English language words used to translate Buddhist concepts.

Re: Mindfulness vs Awareness

There are many Theravadin teachers as well as some Mahayana teachers who stress mindfulness practice, although I have noticed a bit of an aversion in the Tibetan traditions as well as some Zen lineages to mindfulness practice. In both of these traditions I have seen awareness stressed, although the...

Re: Awareness, and consciousness, (rig pa) ... oh my!

Consciousness is bound by an ego. Awareness goes beyond ego and Emptinesss. This has sort of been my understanding. This has nothing to with with the teachings of the Buddha. The Buddha never identified something as "awareness" which is separate from the consciousness and which "goes...

And if not, how would one practice/follow the LS if only independently? Thank you! By boldly coming out, reading it, meditating on it, discussing it on forums, analyzing it logically even though forums may boycott your letters again and again. Be patient if one hurts, neglects or abuses you. In thi...

Re: words in Lotus sutra

What difference could it be in between voice hearers and Buddhas if both end their journey in Nirvan (tranquil extinction)? Is it that the voice hearer is so deeply connected with Buddha that he can not go separate at any stage. The voice hearer's and Buddha both have to wait for each other to go to...

words in Lotus sutra

There are a certain words in English translation of Lotus sutra by Burton Watson. Discussion on them will help me a lot. 1. Tranquil extinction. 2. Voice hearers and Buddhas both end their journey at Nirvan. 3 One vehicle , not two nor three. There is a long list . The above three will do for now.
