He is a very nice person.
But is he a very nice or even better good teacher?
He is a qualified teacher. I have met him personally, many years ago.

Re: Any thoughts on Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche?

Hi, everyone, I want to get started with Dzogchen, and I'm trying to find a teacher. I was thinking about checking out Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche, since he's based near where I live and he seems to have some beginner-level teachings. Does anyone have any experience with/thoughts on him or his org (the...

Re: Refuge Ceremony with Lama who is moving away

Re: Garchen Rinpoche Yangzab Empowerment

I contacted Garcgen Institute and the advice from Garchen Rinpoche is to use any Guru Rinpoche text you are familiar with. The Konchok Chidu (peaceful Guru Rinpoche practice) available on palpung.org.uk is as good as any.

Re: Films of Laurence Brahm

I thought both films had some great moments, the places visited, teachers met etc were great and then the scientific stuff started and it was a big turn off. A group of people , don't know what credentials they had, making comparisons without explaining the reasons why. Shame... could have been real...

Re: Mendrub and blessing pills

Mendrub is also called dudtsi chomen and, sometimes, simply jin-lab. (In my original sangha, our Teachers always just called it jin-lab.) Jin-lab translates as "blessing." So maybe some people call mendrub "blessing pills," although I have never personally heard that. In Vajraya...

Re: Mendrub and blessing pills

If possible, take some mendrub every morning when you wake up and every evening before bed. Also take whenever you feel ill or out of sorts. Take whenever. Of course, it goes in the tshog chang for tshogs. Placed inside statues and stupas. Worn as an amulet. Put in rivers, lakes, oceans, ponds, etc...
