How does one say no thank you to a former religion?
I use to be part of a religion that I no longer want to be a part of. I found Buddhism to be the best for me. My boss is a member of former religion, and I'm afraid to tell him I am now Buddhist. I want to be respectful but am afraid telling him my new religious choice will affect my job. What do I ...

Re: What sort of mindset or attitude should a Nichiren Buddhist have?
Hi thanks, that makes sense. It's my understanding that Nichiren Buddhist teachings on ethics are based on situational ethics. Also, how are we to treat others? My understanding is w respect and compassion. But what does this mean? Thanks everyone ☺️ :namaste: Since no answer came here: I don't know...

Re: How does one deal with overthinking?
Thank you, I appreciate the input and advice. It depends on the level of anxiety surrounding them. If it’s low, say a 3 or 4 out of 10, you can apply cognitive strategies such as just recognizing “oh there goes my thoughts again”, recognize that you’re over thinking and move on. They are just though...

Re: How does one deal with paranoia and fear of being cheated on in a relationship?

He's just super social and attractive and maybe I'm insecure--def something to work on. But I was just wondering, h...

Re: Is mindfulness part of nichiren buddhism?
Being aware of my thoughts, actions Personally I see the value in being mindful, but I think it can lead to ocd like behavior by making you feel like you always have to police your own thoughts, therefore limiting one's ability to fully live in and enjoy the moment, if that makes sense.
