Setrap and Padmasambhava

Hey, I wonder about the connection of Setrap with Guru Rinpoche. There is the story of Setrap sewing Padmasambhavas shoe on his head etc, I wonder where this story comes from... It does not seem likely to be a story from a geluk source etc. Any info on their relationship or sources etc is appreciate...

Re: P’howa Empowerment (s)

There is pureland Phowa and Phowa in Chod etc. I am not aware of an empowerment of pureland phowa per se, the transmission is often given with an Amithaba empowerment and then it depends. This does probably not answer your question though.

King Von shot

Chicago Gangster rapper king Von was shot and killed today in Chicago. It is rumored that he himself murdered many people of rival gangs. I think he could be headed towards the lower realms. All prayers are appreciated.

How to accumulate many tsoks alone

I know in monasteries etc it is done with rice etc, but how can it be done with rice etc? If we want to accumulate 1000, 10000 etc? It is impossible to eat that much rice 🙅‍♀️

Mani hardun from Tsongkhapa/Sakya

Anyone heard of this? It is supposed to be a practice specifically for Lung problems. It is from Tsongkhapa but originally from Sakya.

No, all deity pictures are secret in Vajrayana. Nirmanakaya, Sambokaya and DharmaKaya are all equally secret.

There are even Sutras exclusively dedicated to defining what a Buddha is. Why do you say all these wrong things? You post all the time but 90% is just bla bla. Do you want to harm people? let's examine then with no indirect logic, desitions nor cultural beliefs, but directly ¿what is buddha? tell m...

Re: What to Recite at Graveyards?

If in doubt, Sang offerings are good things to do in general. If you’re concerned about pretas there are specific water offerings you can do for them. I don’t have transmission of those but they should be easy to come by. Jvalamukha torma. It does not require transmission. Could you point us to the...

The names do not tell you much. It is better to rely on enlightened protectors than unenlightened ones. If you have tantric commitments etc than practicing Tsog regularly is most important and it includes the protectors, retinues etc. For information who is enlightened and who not I would only rely ...

Is there a specific Puja for lung disorders? I know texts etc sometimes list benefits of specific mantras and then it mentions balancing of the humors etc. as a benefit of reciting them. Re: chod and wrathful practice

Chod usually is a very wrathful practice. There are also usually different feasts (e.g. white feast, red feast etc) and they can be done at different times of the day. There is no contradiction between wrathful practices. They are all wrathful and compassionate methods. There are also lower liberato...
