Re: Regular Caffeine Consumption Affects Brain Structure

Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen Rinpoche recommended rhododendron as an alternative; and even went as far as suggesting that tea c...

Re: "evidence that consciousness continues after clinical death"

Mae Chee Kaew sounds like a very wonderful person. That is interesting that She spent so much time with ghosts. I also dedicate a lot of time to helping ghosts as well as helping them cross over. When I started out on my Buddhist Path many years ago in this life, without Sutta, without instruction,...

Re: "evidence that consciousness continues after clinical death"

That's quite interesting. Does anyone know of any Buddhist accounts by which Buddhas or Bodhisattvas have brought people back from the dead/the other side, by means of a resurrection? I would be interested to hear of Buddhist accounts of this in History or on any Buddhist Scripture. As it is quite ...

Re: "evidence that consciousness continues after clinical death"

The fact is that all evidence points to the brain being the seat of consciousness to the point where we can turn it on and off. It is solely dependent on physicality. No evidence suggests otherwise. Either way that shouldn't really matter to buddhism. Near-Death Experiences Evidence for Their Reali...

Re: Best Evidence for Afterlife - BICS ESSAY COMPETITION - $ 500,000 Prize

If they offer such a high prize for the "winner" of that competition, wouldn't it be likeley their results will be flawed? I imagine many people who just tell some phantasy stories in order to have a chance on that prize. Announcing a prize for scientific results seems unscientifically to me. did n...
