Many years ago, when my Teachers had a center in New York City, we always put the remainders in the East River. One of the students would take them at night.

This is just me but, if I had a Guru Who told me to do a certain practice, then I would depend entirely upon Him/Her for how to do that practice. I wouldn't be asking others' advice on a public forum like this.

Guru sadhanas are for blessings.
Yidam sadhanas are for siddhi/accomplishment.
Dakini sadhanas are for prophecies and/or activities.
