Re: Video on Mipam R and Buddha Nature.

Most practitioner's prefer this level of teaching from a Scholar practitioner or better a Buddha ,rather than just a Scholar. He is a practitioner. His books are excellent, and easier to follow than the lecture. This is stuff that gets much more accessible on paper. Who are his Teachers?

Re: How to decarbonize your life.

I work in a climate-related field and have spent a lot of time thinking about this, but I want to include the caveat that this is a personal list. It's not meant to dictate what others should do--some of the things on this list may be difficult or impossible for many people--and it's not a test of ...

Re: If You Eat Meat You Are Not a Kagyupa - Karmapas and strict vegetarianism

It has been mentioned before but i will just add that millions of sentient beings die in the process of cultivating and harvesting plant food. Many more than the observable and cuddly ones that we eat. ChNNR taught that it is more compassionate to eat meat than not to, in order for a poor animal to ...

I'm sure quite a few people will be happy to take them off your hands This way they would most likely go to someone that will practice ...

work/study and spiritual practice? What makes you think these are different? Of course there are differences as there would be in eating a plate full of shit compared to a plate of carrots. In the first case it can be done but not without its difficulties but then you get the  .Anyway....

Hi, just making sure, did I hear correctly that Rinpoche advised us to recite the Threa Heaps Sutra Confession (which is 35 Buddhas confession if I am correct) 3 times per day and per night? That’s this, right? https://www.lotsawahouse.org/words-of-the-buddha/confession-of-downfalls-nyingma Yup.

If Buddhas could liberate sentient beings, all sentient beings would be liberated.
Perhaps to liberate all sentient beings, the change we must make is with ourself.

It's a possibility!

Re: Are there any realist schools (mind independent reality exists conventionally) in Mahayana or Vajrayana?

So this Mahayana thing is a hoax? If Buddhas could liberate sentient beings, all sentient beings would be liberated. Are you not liberated more so than before? In numerous or some Sutras, Buddhas have specific vows. That’s how Buddha liberate sentient beings. Lotus Sutra says that’s what Buddhas do....
