thanks again Huifeng. These sufferings are many, because the karma of living beings are many, and therefore each requires a specific medicine to treat their suffering. thanks everyone. i've done studies in therevada. i'm interested in taking in non-theravada sutras, in case they are one day useful, etc. and no longer available... or to have a greater understanding of buddhism as a whole...

Anything that leads to aspiration of bodhicitta (aspiration to attain awakening) is useful here. For example, the Diamond Sutra, very commonly studied in Chan.
