Everyone here has given you good advice, pray to her to remove obstacles, seek initiation but don't do any practices. Now depending on which lineage will initiate you (Sakya or Gelugpa) I can say that the Sakya's have the requirement that you must have samaya and either Chakrasamvara or Hevajra init...
