Re: Ratnadārikā Sūtra — Buddha's 32 marks actually 34
Wow, DR's Chinese is a lot harder to decipher! I initially never expected any list to be the same. I was surprised how similar it seemed when I tried to compare with one I had recently read, but seeing that DR list I have to conclude my initial instinct was right. Still it is strange that neither tr...

Re: Ratnadārikā Sūtra — Buddha's 32 marks actually 34
Hello. First I want to say thank you for working on translating the Mahāsaṃnipāta. I bought both of your other two translations from Lulu, and I'm really excited to see you finish this one. I didn't think I could help with this issue, but I happened to be reading the Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra that's ...

Which I can see being quite a powerful message for people practicing praise and devotion. But, I actually don't think it fits in ...

Re: Lotus Sutra - Buddha Rebirth?
I realized as soon as I posted, that I should have finished reading it before asking questions, but I am already aware of the Trikaya concept. I think what really surprises me is simply the buddha's use of " I ". I always viewed it as from an ultimate reality perspective all Buddhas are a ...

Lotus Sutra - Buddha Rebirth?
Hello, I'm a relatively new Buddhist, and have been reading heavily for the last four months or so. With the reputation the Lotus Sutra has, I figured I should get a grounding in other things first, but have now begun reading it. I realize the contentious nature of Tathagatagarbha/Buddha-nature teac...
