Re: driving the seafood truck
Last time when I was a job seeker, I couldn't find many opportunities that fit into my wide range of my own interpretation of "Right Livelihood". Then I worked in a DIY hardware store which also sells insecticides and traps. If you feel okay, then okay I guess. If you don't want that job, ...

Re: Working with anger
That's a Chinese saying: "Buddha also has fire!" It may appear after a Chinese, who is a Buddhist, has exhibited his or her anger. Not all angers are bad as it depends on the situation such as letting people know your border and it can release emotional tension. But i think most or many an...

Re: Dharma name
I gave myself my own dharma name as no dharma name name was given to me when I took refuge long time ago. No need be so formal for me as don't need to register the name. And it is just a "title".

The negative one is attachment to not-doing: you avoid doing anything or set goals, because they do not fulfill the attachment to the highest goal: non attachme...

Re: Lying: Is it Acceptable?
All people tell lies unless he or she is mute, such as saying small white lies, saying things that are not accurate to realities whether intentionally or not, changing decisions after words were said, etc. Very common is time: can you very make sure you can say the exact current time if being asked?...

Re: Problems with Meditation
I can't concentrate when i meditate with eyes half open. Closing the eyes I can focus more on my breathing and it is more suitable for me. If i focus on my nostrils, the in and out of air, I can do Vipassana easier. If focus on belly or diaphragm, I can do Samadhi easier.
