Lama Jigme Namgyal Rinpoche in Las Vegas is also very open to giving lungs. Sorry for being off topic, but is this the same Jigme Namgyal as this one?: https://www.tibetculture.lu/v2/lama ... if it's the same person, doesn't he live in Luxembourg anymore? A different lama of Padma Rigdzin Ling temple

Re: Aphantasia & Dzogchen / tantric practices
If you had a paper and pencil, could you draw a picture of an apple? Where I said I'm open to answer that kind of questions??? :rolling: Take what I said if it's useful for you, either you can skip to the next text. Thank you, It was a rhetorical question to show that you probably don’t really have...

Re: Is Kali Yuga a Buddhist teaching?
That's all fair enough except that the Karandavyuha Sutra comes from the Tibetan tradition It comes from the Sanskrit original before Buddhism was formally transmitted to Tibet If you can show sources, please do. :namaste: Kim From its intro on 84000 https://read.84000.co/translation/toh116.html Th...

Re: Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva
Personally, I didn't experience things directly from worshipping Avalokiteśvara, but I believe the accounts I heard. I think it is better for me to write it down properly, or better yet, have the person who told me write it down so I can get the story right before sharing it. We will be most excite...

Re: Transmission (lung) of Sengdongma, The Lion Faced Dakini
Atiśa at times refused to give the bodhisattva vows if the offerings were inadequate. Actually, may I have a source please. Sounds very interesting. I just got it from this footnote in Treasury of Precious Qualities vol 1 😳 This accounts for the importance attached to the making of offerings at the...

Re: Transmission (lung) of Sengdongma, The Lion Faced Dakini
I think he does these in response to requests a lot of the time. I requested a transmission from him once and a private session was arranged with him and his translator. He proactively sent me more advice afterwards as well. There was literally not a single mention of money throughout the whole proc...

Re: Achieving enlightment in 3 lifetimes by listening to a very powerful yogin recite the kuntuzangpo prayer
Who wrote this prayer, when, and where? The link you were given states that it is from a terma tantra revealed by Rigdzin Godem On what authority can it be claimed to give Enlightenment within 3 lives? The quote in the OP image is from the prayer / tantra itself Whether we know it or not? Even peop...

Re: Sur Incense
I'd be inclined to offer just the smoke/scent of food before I used sang incense. You might happen to already have flour and at least some of the three whites & three sweets on hand Lama Zopa Rinpoche sez: When doing sur practice, you must have actual food to burn on the coals to offer it. Other...

Re: Persons whose hands have been cut off
It's mainly reputation management. The idea is that if anyone complains, the source of the complaint should be prohibited, regardless of the moral value of the act or person being prohibited. Vinaya, thus, is not moral censure, but mainly a reputation management manual. The person with no hands, et...

I will continue with Halkias' book. It was interesting so far and it is worthwhile considering all other perspectives. Perhaps you might also find interesting the commentary by Mipham Rinpoche available at the end of this Document: https://www.academia.edu/35095965/JU_MI_PHAM_ON_PURE_LAND_DOCTRINE_...

Re: Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö’s Prophecy of Things to Come?
There is no such thing as this. If it’s a terma, it’s from GR. If it’s dag snang it could be from anyone but there are zero such texts claiming to be sutras. There are termas presented as sutras, eg https://www.saraswatipublications.org/product/khorlo-barwa-the-thirteen-chakra-sutra-from-the-northe...
