Re: Authentic Dzogchen teachers Europe
there is one problem with your question: what do you mean by "dzogchen?" "pure" dzogchen without deity yoga etc has been taught recently by ChNN only. most other dzogchen approaches in Nyingma are based on termas. and termas in most cases are mixed maha-, anu-, ati-yoga cycles. ...

Re: My family worries that some Zen Buddhism feels like a “cult”
Hi everyone! I have been very taken by Zen Buddhism and particularly the teachings of Suzuki Roshi. His words have moved me incredibly. That said, speaking to my family about some of these topics and the story of Suzuki Roshi moving to San Francisco, the drama that eventually happened there…there i...

Born and raised in Brazil. 6 years retreat with Tharchin Rinpoche in Santa Cruz, CA, Dudjom Tersar tradition. So he is like the Pele of nakpas You must be from the US. You're like the Donald Trump of buddhists. You think Americans know about football legends?🤣 Try again. Southern country and would ...

He's a gold standard for Western born yogis trained in the West. By "West" you obviously mean Amerika, because I am from the "West", and I have never heard of him. ;) Born and raised in Brazil. 6 years retreat with Tharchin Rinpoche in Santa Cruz, CA, Dudjom Tersar tradition. So...

Re: Lung oral transmission
A lung-related update: "For those newcomers who have Yeshi Namkhai's transmission and who are seeking to deepen their understanding and knowledge of secondary practices transmitted by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, the IG suggests that Gars and Lings follow Yeshi Namkhai's advice given during his retr...

Re: Lung oral transmission
ChNN was so clear on these things in so many ways even if he didn’t spell it out publicly in order not to force anything on anyone: he wrote the famous letter that gets interpreted in over-complicated ways, he recommended a certain book to the whole community to read literally as a lamp to enlighte...

Re: Vajrayana in the spectrum
Hi, i wonder if anyone has teacher's view/opinion about "autism" causes, and what can one do about it in the context of vajrayana. i never asked my teachers so i don't know much what's vajrayana pov, maybe tibetan medicine and alike. thanks in advance. Maybe you can ask lama lena. She is ...

Re: Lung oral transmission
The one thing that the DC members should be concerned about is the survival of his termas. But that’s not something the DC can really help with as an organization. Well, there is the khenpo who is an authorised Longsal holder (and does get a mention in the letter). He can be officially invited to t...

Re: Lung oral transmission
if you think about ChNN, think he is very active about the DC. Things will untangle. I hope you are right, but it doesn't look like you are. Arguing about who can give direct introduction when there are numerous Nyingma teachers that can do that is weird. Do you really think Rinpoche gave direct in...

Re: Lung oral transmission
If it was all the same, then the same letter empowers Nina to "transmit" Mandarava, and Costantino Albini to "transmit" Chod, and the relevant SMS instructors to transmit what they are authorised to instruct on. No overcomplicating here: Both before that letter and afterwards Ri...

Re: Lung oral transmission
The letter for me it's very clear. Transmit, teach. The same In fact yeshe has been giving direct transmission when rinpoche was alive also. I really dont know why ppl complicate this so much If it was all the same, then the same letter empowers Nina to "transmit" Mandarava, and Costantin...

Re: Lung oral transmission
No, I am afraid not. No one has been officially authorised by ChNN to pass on lungs. Not Nina Robinson (whom I revere, btw), not Yuchen, not even Yeshi, which he himself pointed out in 2020 or 2021. The only possible exception may be the Chinese khenpo, but here I know next to nothing, and the DC o...

Re: Lung oral transmission
I'll be thrilled if Khyentse Yeshi starts giving transmission, but his public opinion seems to be that people can receive it from a recording, something his father repeated ad nauseam is not possible. Idle curiosity here - when did he become "Khyentse"? When sakya trindzin recognized him ...

Re: Lung oral transmission
Not according to ChNN, who claimed that you need to have practised these practises and git signs first. @OP. No one in the DC has been officially authorised to transmit lungs, Yeshi (who is yet to transmit a single lung) included. within the DC, afaik Ms. Robinson, Yungchen, at least can; some have...

Re: Differentiating Nature of Mind from Calm State
And you repeatedly dodged the point of my questions to respond with your ready made responses. You're giving the right answer to a different question, but it is not my question. What I'm asking is, would it be easier for you to be "fully present" to getting a paper cut or being stabbed? Y...

Re: Differentiating Nature of Mind from Calm State
When you are distracted from the nature of mind is called samsara, all its ups and downs cause endless suffering. What I said was that in Dzogchen, since we go beyond mind, the calm or movement of the mind is not the point of the practice. In a previous post you sheepishly admit that you've had dou...

Re: Differentiating Nature of Mind from Calm State
With all due respect, this is absurd. From the standpoint of someone who is realized they are never confused. But for most of us, this is not the case. There is a reason why some teachers insist on a very stable shine practice as a means to recognizing the Nature of Mind. Though they are not at all...

Re: Differentiating Nature of Mind from Calm State
You don't think calm or movement has any bearing on when you are distracted from the Nature of Mind? No. It’s like watching anything else that alternates between motion and stillness. My question wasn't directed to you as I'm interested in Heart's response. As for what you replied, and assuming you...
