Dalai Lama to donate Templeton Prize money to charity

His Holiness the Dalai Lama has announced that he will donate his £1.1 million ($1.1 million) Templeton Prize to charities supporting children’s rights, meditation research, and science education. The Templeton Prize, which His Holiness received in a ceremony held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on Monday, is bestowed upon those deemed to have made an “exceptional contribution to affirming life’s spiritual dimension, whether through insight, discovery, or practical works.”

We tend to use titles like His Holiness, His Eminence, Master, etc for many "high" lamas. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is one who unquestionably deserves such respect. The kindness and compassion he shows for all sentient beings is truly without limits. :bow: :bow: :bow:

The bulk of it is going to help disadvantaged children in India.

Excellent choices for the funds by HHDL.

Yes. There is a lot of need for care for children and support for parents. Many parents can even not feed their children. So the little ones are left by themselves in the streets, in cities...
