Back when I am a small kid,I acted on my intrusive thought and said something bad about the BUddha,is this a bad karma?Can I do anything about it?Because I think I read one sutta that has somehting to do with it.

Well,I ctually havent really decided on which school of buddhism to practise,in fact I am still reseacrhing some other religions so is there easier alternative? thnks by the way.

35 Confession Buddhas practice, it's based on a Mahayana sutra so you don't need "permission" to practice it and doesn't "belong" to any specific tradition.

Do not worry. There is no such thing as eternal sin or any such concept in Buddhism. Do some mantras as suggested and you'll be fine.

My understanding is that karma is intent. So I'd have to ask you, was it your "intention" to speak ill of The Buddha
(or anyone for that matter)? If not, then I would doubt you incurred any "bad karma" over your comment. But if it
makes you feel badly, then just continue on your path producing "good karma" rather than worrying about what
appears to be a slip of the tongue.

There are no punishments involved here. But there are always opportunities for us to do good in the world. Just capitalize
on those opportunities.

Thes practices allow us the luxury of having karma ripen quickly and consciously instead of waiting for it to ripen at some "random" point in the future, where we will (may) not be aware of what is happening and why, which may lead to increased suffering and a negative reaction generating more karma.

I dont know but can you guys somewhat prove that the mantras are real,I mean as I said I havent fully decide on which school/religion yet,do you guys have any prove?

According to Dzogchen, Sound is the Essence of all Empty Appearances; and even if other religions don't have the complete understanding of this, almost every religion refers to Divinity as the Divine Word (the Khemetian, Hindu, Mayan, Aztec, Christian, etc.).

And is also why the Masons often refer to the "Lost Word" (Guhya-Mantra).


H.P. Blavatsky (parenthesis notes not hers) wrote:

By the way, intrusive thoughts are only empty thoughts; especially if they have no intention behind them. Sure, intrusive thoughts are karma; but if there is no intention behind them then I wouldn't worry about them too much. Just do your best, and do purification practices.

As you are too lazy to practice Buddhism, perhaps you might consider Atheism? Nothing to do. :woohoo:
If you convert to Islam, you start with a clean slate but have to pray 6 times a day - not for you.
Christianity, you will soon be riddled with sin, doubt and guilt - not for you.
Why on earth are you wasting your time with religion and being forgiven?
Have you nothing better to do? :reading:

By easier alternatives i mean easier ways to make sure everything is fine regarding the possibility of blasphemy on buddha while young,nt relying on specific ritual that might require faith.. .

So you said something bad about the Buddha. I am sure there are worse things in life.

If you feel bad about it, just repent to yourself (the Buddha doesn't care) and aspire to do better for yourself in the future as a result. Then a 'bad action' can become a seed for something much greater. That is the kind of outcome I wager would bring smiles to a Buddha's lips.
