Where is karma located?

Post by AstralProjectee »

Where is karma located? Where is the fruit of ones action? Where is the root of ones karma? There must be a place where karma is located.

Peace!

The root of karma is the mind. The Buddha stated,
"Oh monks, I say that action is volition; after having willed it, one accomplishes action by means of the body, the voice and the mind."
That being said, karma, which is volitional action, the result of which is vipāka primarily experienced as sensation (suffering and ease), is not a thing so much as it is a process.

Ok, it's sort of crazy wisdom, but he has a real point here. To wit, karma is just this, right here and now. It is cause and effect in action. The cartoon is an amazing fusion of cultures and maybe the point got lost in all the cultural noise.
