Sayings by Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche.

Post by muni »

One of our biggest lessons is that all aspects of life, ranging from the world we inhabit to the subtle balance of our minds, are interdependent. If we continue to live greedy, selfish lives, we will surely destroy our world and ourselves along with it.

Samsara is the tendency to find fault with others.

The real challenge is to have balance and stability within continuous change.

Whatever obstacles arise, if you deal with them through kindness without trying to escape then you have real freedom.

Thoughts are like a monkey. If a monkey is too active and you put it in a cage, it doesn't matter if it's a golden cage, the monkey will never appreciate it.

Open your mind space 100% and let everything play around you and you'll never have any problem. But if you judge who needs help then one negative mind will burn a whole mountain.

To coordinate effectively with others we need to be free of our tendency always to be caught up in our own storyline or our own idea of what is real, what is the truth.

There is a direct flow between how we behave, how we speak and how we think.

We cannot change the world to conform to our wishes, but we can have mastery over how we experience it; learning to accept and adapt will mature our minds.

People feel that because they are meditating they have to be doing something. Actually meditating means that you are doing nothing.

Spiritual life is no different from everyday life, only motivation is different.

Thanks for posting these, Muni

May I ask what your source(s) is?
I haven't come across much written material by Akong Rinpoche.
Dualism is the real root of our suffering and all of our conflicts.

Thank you. I've never really spent quality time on their website. Seems as if I should.

Oops. This is in fact "a very old" one by Naropa: "Samsara is the tendency to find fault with others". but good, it is repeated by Rinpoche, possible since it is needful help. :toilet:

me======others

ps: = is imagined brick wall between two concepts. I am in another (better of course) space then you. Can only be science fiction.
