Buddhist Prime, finally!!!
My Yahoo Answers Profile:

Come watch me dominate.
I came here, tried logging in, but each time it kept saying I wasn't registered,
I was like WTF, I've been on here for at least half a month, tried it again,
about an hour passed before I figured out that there are two DhammaWheel's out there,
one that was DW.com and this one that is DW.net, DW.com is for Theravada,
that is where I have been doing most of my postings.
But I'm glad I came across this by accident, I'm more into Mahayana and Vajrayana,
then Theravadin, ask a question over there about Sambhogakaya, and you receive no
answers.

I used to be on E-Sangha till their site went Crazy.
It was fun, Iliked it over there.
I've been Buddhist for over 15 years.
I used the Buddhist Swastika as a means for advertising Buddhism, people would get pissed at me, wanting to start a fight, and
cover over to me, and I'd engage them with Buddhist Teachings, and nothing bad ever happened, I had the cops called on me a couple of times,
but they could never prove that I was being Racist, I have had numerous accounts on Yahoo answers because they kept banning me for using the Buddhist Swastika, symbol, even though I had educated everyone including Moderators about it, so I changed my name to Buddhist Prime, and kept giving awesome posts and questions. I hate to brag, but I am damn good at it.
I got myself a Buddhist Dharma Chakra from:

Welcome to Dharma Wheel!
The symbol with 'Buddhist Swastika' written underneath at least explains it a bit, but the swastika by itself, for example, on your t-shirt, worn by a white guy with a shaved head; what do you think that will convey to most people?
I know the [Asian] Indians had the symbol first, but it has become so entrenched in culture and society to mean the Nazis, I (personally) would not want to use it at all. Additionally I only use 'Noble One' instead of ariyan, again even though the Indians had that term first.

The ignorance of it used to be real high, but since I've been doing it, I actually hear people making reference that the Swastika is a symbol of the Buddha.David N. Snyder wrote:

SO things have changed because of me, also the main reason nobody spread the info about it, is that America is predominately Christian, and who wants to advertise for another religion, Christians have a way about turning their heads when it doesn't involve them and allowing ignorance to flourish as long as nothing happens to their religion. Then I stepped in and educated everyone.
I have had so many people attempt to call me a racist, been surrounded by 30 blackmen in gangsta cars, and told them what I represented and they said cool, and left me all alone.

Re: Buddhist Prime, finally!!!
You might be a better Dharma influence if your T shirt had a Buddha with a swastika on his chest, instead of only the swastika.
Once at work a Jewish lady co-worker saw on my desk an ancient image of a Buddha with swastika. She still did not like it, but when she thought a little, she understood that Buddha lived long, long, before the Nazis, so the chakra was not a purely Nazi symbol.

Re: Buddhist Prime, finally!!!
From what you have given us I would call this ill-considered and potentially harmful evangelicism.
The potential for doing harm here far outweighs the potential benefit.
I also get the impression that you relish and anticipate the misunderstanding and potential conflict. I accept your bona fides, but more than that is needed at times.
Do you have a Dharma teacher? If so, please ask her / him for some advice on this campaign of yours.
Good luck.

Welcome Buddhist Prime
I think your heart is in the right place, but IMHO you seem to be grabing peoples attention by intentionally provoking them. It may have worked so far, but at some point it'll come back and bite you on the a***. But your part of the world might be completely different than my part of the world, so it might be right for where you are.
You are right though, people need to be educated about these things.
Gassho,
Seishin.

Note: There are two different sites: Dhamma Wheel (Theravada) and Dharma Wheel (Mahayana) . They are often referred to as DWT and DWM. They are both run by the same person.

You're quite a character, I'll give you that.
Perhaps you could ponder about the several advices a few people gave you.
Take it easy and welcome aboard!

Agree. While the symbol is ancient, and has been used by many different cultures centuries before theWill wrote:You might be a better Dharma influence if your T shirt had a Buddha with a swastika on his chest, instead of only the swastika.

Nazi party chose it for their use, there are some parts of the world where the corruption of this symbol
is probably beyond repair. Why not have compassion for those peoples who have been brutalized by those
wearing and waving that symbol?

Man that's some skillful means using the swastika... make sure you're very careful! I'm sure you are... worrisome though, I have friends who wouldn't even ask about it before taking action and it's frightening... as good as your intentions are I would hate so see something bad happen to you, be safe!
