Newbie

Postby buffetslayer » Sun Mar 18, 2012 11:00 pm

Hey good folk,
New to this forum and also to Buddhism although it has interested me for some time. It was my recent struggle with depression that brought me to a local group to try meditation and the more i learn the more drawn to a Buddhist way of life i am. its kinda weird cos i feel compelled and like there is a force driving me along this path. anyone else had that? its all very positive tho
Anyway just wanted to say hi to all you good people
:D

Everything you do brings you a little bit closer to where you are headed.

Profile Picture: "The Foaming Monk"
The Chinese characters are Fo (buddha) and Ming (bright). The image is of a student of Buddhism, who, imagining himself to be a monk, and not understanding the true meaning of the words takes the sound of the words literally. Likewise, People on web forums sometime seem to be foaming at the mouth.
