I simple think, these painful events for our fellows, are strong tests for our practice!
Of course they aren't solid, but we neither, our practice neither, it is not a frozen blanc state...true compassion isn 't the good ego but our very being, teaching explains....
Today the parents have to identify their children. For them this day is very very hard. Many many prayers.
I reflect about clinging (absolutism) and radical nonclinging, (nihilism).
“Sentient beings, self and others, enemies and dear ones—all are made by thoughts. It is like seeing a rope and mistaking it for a snake. When we think that the rope is a snake, we are scared, but once we see that we are looking at a rope, our fear dissipates. We have been deluded by our thoughts. Likewise, mentally fabricating self and others, we generate attachment and aversion.” ~Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche
