march 10 – march 18: annual nine-day dzogchhen residential retreat
Subject of practice and teachings are: Dzogchhen Ngondro and Dzogchhen Ngo-zhi – degrees of Zhiney; Treg-chhod and Thod-ghel consisting of dark retreat; sky-space gazing, sun-light gazing, etc.

Treg-chhod and Thod-ghel are the two principal practices of Dzogchhen. The yearly retreat is open to general public and it is essential to attend all the 9 days. The retreat will be run by Lama Khemsar Rinpoche based on authentic retreat guideline of Tibet and Zhang Zhung. Identical retreats are run every year in the UK, Europe and the USA.

i have my reservations about Lama Khemsar.

I have met him and received teachings from him in the past.
I find him a bit unusual on at least a few points.
For example when his students get together to practice and he is also present he would walk around among practitioners and correct their positions during puja...
He would walk back and forth in the room with his hands joined behind the back checking practitioners.

I also remember a kind of belligerent attitude towards other teachers...
And charging so much money for his courses for so many years and not having yet a place to meet.
If you want to receive teachings from him you have to receive ngondro first from him and that would happen in his apartment and it would cost you something like 50pounds...etc...
When he talks you feel like he is a bit agitated and distracted.And somehow the way he says things makes you feel that your are the smallest insect on the planet.

Thanks for your reply regarding Khemsar.

It would be great if you would write to Khemsar your opinions.
I guess it would be very helpfull for him if he would hear some positive critics regarding his kind of teachings and mentality.

Well further is his wife a sister of TWR and Khemsar is undoubtly involved in these kind of family affairs. It is the money which make some Tibetan families powerfull and they sure can influence the monasteries with this power.

Even in the monasteries is there difference between monk and monk. Rich family monks can study etc. whereas the poor ones do the dirty jobs and can never follow a Geshe course and when then he/she would be very lucky. Poor monks are sometimes a little shy.....

Yes i have heard also many stories about this money shuffle mentality which is common in this family........ but where is this in the Tibetan Traditions not running ?

Dharma ought to be for free because no Buddha did ever charge money for their teachings.
No Buddhas charge money and like the profit.

So it would be very ok if you would write to Khemsar and give to him your opinion and agian it would be very helpfull to do it. But when you are a Bonpo you are automaticly out if you do so, that is the concequence of critcs and that does count for all Tibetan Lineages.

Yes some teachings are expensive. Even I don't know the Lama, you are expressing experiences and so few fleetings of mine:

Quickly throwing shoes (one lands on the other) in an outer corner, bowing and sit down. Later one finds shoes back nicely placed one next the other.
Don't go yet, please take a plate and eat with us.
Did you had a cup? Take mine! Take a cushion, sit here by the fire, warm smiles........you are very welcome...........then no single coin for undescridable kindness.
