Hello
I am a new member, just introducing myself. I am a psychology postdoc (actually looking for a postdoc now) and have been interested in Buddhism for many years. I did the course at Kopan in 1997, and have done some vipassana retreats in the US and Thailand. I recently began reading Lama Yeshe again and was inspired to study more. I also practice an entheogenic religion, Santo Daime, which may strike some as breaking the rule of intoxicants, but in fact has reinvigorated my interest in Buddhist principles. I have trouble meditating outside of retreats. That's all for now

Welcome to Dharma Wheel!
Re: new member in san francisco
Yup its all here just waitin for ya, the glorious inspirations, the profound truths, the endless haggling of interpretation, and the petty personal squabbles. Here you will find Mahayana Buddhism, warts and all, living, breathing and being applied. Have fun with it.
