He's very admirable and completely correct. The Japanese authorities have drastically overreacted: there are reports that Tomioka is registering 8.2 micro sieverts/hr. If this was correct and not considering radioactive decay (because it's 3:21 am) or hot spots, then he has absorbed ~ 7.2 rads over the last year. This is negligible radiation. Clean up should have begun already at least in some places.
