Well said, Peter!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

Hello Craig,

Can you describe for us how your practice has changed since you "let go of the rebirth view". I am curios to hear about your experience before this shift, how it felt when this shift was made and how it has effected the operative aspects of your practice. I want to hear the particulars of how holding to rebirth influenced your day to day practice of ethics and meditation. Not just on a situational level but also on the level of how you relate and feel in regards to practice.

Thanks
:coffee:

Greetings Heavenstorm

Since you seem to defend rebirth as central, as supermundane then you should be able to answer these questions

Why is rebirth called right view with TAINTS?
What are taints a cause of?
Why does right view without effluents conatian the knowing of the taints, of which rebirth view is bound with?
Does the mundane lead to nibbana?
Can the teaching of emptiness of self include teachings of rebirth, of comming again?

Oh, and I'm still waiting for you to explain what the Buddha meant when he told those monks that some of those dead nuns would be reborn 7 more times. Was he lying? If not then please explain clearly what he meant.
