My buddhist hardcore punk band!

Postby Admiral » Sun Jun 20, 2010 6:11 pm

Hi everybody (:

If there's anyone here that's not scared of noisy music, here is my buddhist hardcore punk band :D

Our first demo is free to download in the "discography" section...
Entitled "Noble Truth", it's a conceptual demo with 4 tracks, one per "noble truth".
We're about to play our first shows and we'll soon record our first full E.P :D

So well, thanks for everyone that will give us a listen ! We're not bad guys... haha ;)

I will certainly take a listen next time I'm using my PC. I've found Dhammawheel a very useful place to get constructive criticism about my music projects, I hope you have the same experience :)

You might be suprised just how many 'hardcore' folk there are around here (although I personally much prefer Metal to Punk) :)

Thanks a lot for the help, english is my second language as you noticed it, in fact I'm french :?

The vocals for this song are not recorded yet so I can change these lyrics, so, well...
-"quicksand" not "quicksands", thanks I didn't knew it ;)
-Isn't "shade" a synonym of "shadow"? :S
-"say" instead of "said", thanks again :D

The "I Bethe Admiral" stuff is an old project for which I didn't worked a lot, but I think I'll record something "fuller" (like an E.P!) really soon :D I miss acoustic music sometimes... haha ;)

Thanks again for all these compliments, but about the "pride" thing, I've always seen congratulations as encouragements, because when one thinks being good at doing something, it is likely nothing more can be done! (sorry about that sentence, my english is really bad sometimes... hope you'll understand what I mean :? )
We're all a garden of potential that's waiting to be watered, but if one thinks that he doesn't need any longer to be watered, then his potential will fade.
And in music, there are so many things to do!

Awesome quote, I'll keep it somewhere in my mind, thank you...
That's something I can be sure about, I'll never stop to pratice ;)
The key, to me, is to stay positive (:

Yaaay! I love it!
Not so much into the vegan scene, but it's about time some rockin' Buddhist tunes came along.
Keep it up dude, looking forward to you posting more songs.

Just keep breathing in and out like this. Don't be interested in anything else. It doesn't matter even if someone is standing on their head with their ass in the air. Don't pay it any attention. Just stay with the in-breath and the out-breath. Concentrate your awareness on the breath. Just keep doing it. http://www.ajahnchah.org/book/Just_Do_It_1_2.php
