Gee, you know, if my ancient memory is correct, then the resistor in the picture has a value of 1 ohm.
Gold tolerance band, too. +/- 5% ?
----------------------------------
Wow, it's nearly 50 years since I had to think of that!
As I remember it goes like this:
(Bad Boys Ravish Our Young Girls But Violet Gives Willingly) ......for the colors
(Black Brown Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Violet Grey White) and the tolerances
Gold, Silver, and nothing at all for....
5%, 10%, and 20% tolerance.
That's how I was taught to memorise it.
That was 1965, I was in military electronics school; and not knowing that immeadiately would usually earn you a day of KP (Kitchen Police) washing up after the cooks in the dining hall.
Not sure of that 3rd color though.
If it is a grey that makes it 9 places...or 100 Mega Ohms, which may be the intended joke.
But I could be wrong....becuse it has been a LONG time,

Shame on you Shakyamuni for setting the precedent of leaving home.
Did you think it was not there--
in your wife's lovely face
in your baby's laughter?
Did you think you had to go elsewhere (simply) to find it?
