How does a mudra effect the quality of our meditation ?
How would using Gyan Mudra instead of Dhyana mudra meditation change the quality of breathing meditation ?
Does it matter what mudra we use ?

"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Namu-myoho-renge-kyo. no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever." - Nichiren Daishonin
Re: Mudras
I guess that really depends on what school you follow. I've heard some say that it focuses your energy (chi/ki) to your dantien and helps your breathing, and therefore your focus. I've also heard that it's not important and to simply sit confortably.
Sometimes, I think it's simply a sign to others that you are meditating and not snoozing
