The fascist Mayor Bloomberg has sent in his batons to clear Zuccotti Park. That was done but a legal injunction is working it's way through the courts now in order to permit the protesters the exercise of their right to protest and redress grievances.

whilst sat in an ER this morning, i watched bloomberg say that (quote) "there are no absolute rights".

Don't get me wrong, I'm a supporter of OWS.
But, at least in principle, Bloomberg is right.
As an example, screaming "FIRE" in a crowded room just for fun may be your "right", but it should not be done because of the possible consequences..
My disagreement with Bloomberg (et al) is that they can not show a valid reason for their actions in closing down that area.
That's just my opinion...but I don't see that the demonstraters were causing a valid nuicense (at least in my mind) that warranted such an action.
But I'm sure Bloomberg and his wealthy friends would disagree.

As much as I sympathesis with the movement. They clearly weren't 99%, and many are not the type of people that generates "respect" from main stream public.

Differ however a bit in that the adherance by the members of congress to the maintance pursuance of continuation and enhancement of the power structure is occasionally attributed to direct financial gains(such as enableing stock tips) but most commonly a abscription of the means of result.

Essentially what got them to where they are and maintains them... is the established order of politics and power.
Thusly they maintain that and work to enhance that. Not perhaps always on a conscious level, but almost always present in choice of means.
Any attack to the order is a personal attack thusly percieved. Hence the result of violence as means.

They perceive themselves as being personally attacked by these things that threaten the established order.
So they act as they do.

What enabled them to be what they are..congress people, (or president) is a considered great good. As great good they see they may do in their position. The means is also considered good as it put them in that place of good potential.

So maintance of status quo becomes a very important imperitive.
This is how in the past you find democrats/liberals supporting things such as the Iraq war (which received almost unanimous support in congress).
That thing in the light of the world trade center became the established order. A thing to maintain that.
Attacked this is what we do and how.
So they did..to great detriment.

Most all want to do great good and be in positions to do so. All humans are like that with a few but very few exceptions.
Established order has become confused to them with the issue of being able to do good.

The result of this is that...they will with any means necessary to include violence work at keeping things as they are.OWS is a very real great threat to that beyond way beyond any tea party movement.

So I differ with the author on that..mostly it is not for personal direct gain. Gain of another sort. They think after a bit they are their position. They invest in themselves as objects in that fashion. They become the order.

It is hard to point that finger as it points also at ourselves,most of us do that a bit as well.
Much easier it is to say...overtly corrupt are they(few of us are like that).....that is generally with a few exceptions untrue.

But who will point a finger at a finger that points at you...few do.
True it is nevertheless.

Media is trying any trick in the book to squash this thing. But to no avail the message is getting through it is so large.
Media as extension of corporation works this way....boards corporative directorship boards have as members a common choice few.
The same peoples of large corporations will be found to have common membership. A board member of kraft foods for instance will also be a board member of a seemingly unrelated issue, perhaps google. Not all certainly but always at least one member of a board has common membership with another board of another corporation(sometimes quite a few).
Corporations thusly by this mechanism established a concorted unified approach to things.
Media is a extension of corporation.
This explains how a unified media view is established and maintained.
It starts from the top...the corporate boardroom and works down to the editors as means for dessimation of view..which story to show/print and how to print it. And the top is not only the top of the corporation but the top of many many other corporations. With common membership on boards a concorted unified approach is arised at.

Governments as extension of corporation(for the most part)....reflect the corporate body and as well react in a unified manner.
Hence the progression of reaction to threat of uprisal(threat to established order) which is identifiable step by step in all countries, most notably the arab nations presently, but with OWS as well.

Few will read such things a fewer even will care...what me why and how me?
It causes great harm this thing..... wars deaths of unestimable amounts poverty hunger and so many other things.
It is how things work.WE may be in no situation to end such a thing but as human we must be at least knowing..... looking straight with eyes wide open at this thing....when time comes we may then be ready to act, not found asleep and wanting.
It is being awake..... as someone once said....he/she was awake...that is all.
To cause least harm we must always be awake to all things...to include the politic and economic as it has great potential to harm other human. We are human we must be compassionate to them. They suffer so.
Not can we say....it is not religion....this thing of awake is religion.
We must be ready...first comes the knowing. The knowing precipitates the circumstance that will present to us all as individuals of the acting.
First we know...they when circumstance presents(which it will)...comes correct action.
The knowing causes the circumstance to arise but that is another matter perhaps of a personal religious nature. It is just how things work not really a big deal. Aside to the topic a bit.
