Faith (In Tibetan)
Faith (In Tibetan)
What's the word for 'faith' in Tibetan as the three kinds of faith - vivid, eager, and confident? Is it either mos-pa or dad-pa?

I think you're looking for dad.pa.rnam.gsum --The Three Kinds of Faith. These are identified somewhat differently than you've listed though......"adminration, longing and trust" is one, and "Aspiring, Inspired, and Confident" is another...from Nithartha Online.

Ah, okay thank you. The translation that I have as vivid, eager, and confident was taken from the refuge section in Words of My Perfect Teacher.
It seems that faith ' dad-pa ' would add the emotional flavor to to the cognition 'shes-pa' of an object where mos-pa would be the subsidiary awareness responsible for the actual apprehension of the object that was established to be true by faith 'dad-pa'.
