World's oceans in 'shocking' decline

The oceans are in a worse state than previously suspected, according to an expert panel of scientists.

In a new report, they warn that ocean life is "at high risk of entering a phase of extinction of marine species unprecedented in human history".

They conclude that issues such as over-fishing, pollution and climate change are acting together in ways that have not previously been recognised.

The impacts, they say, are already affecting humanity.

This is rather frightening.

Unfortunately as an individual though I live as green as I can, the world still demands economic growth which almost always means environmental destruction. More airports, more cars on the road, more consumer goods, etc...

Makes me wonder where we'll be in ten, twenty and thirty years.

It's all about population Husang.

I know you are doing your bit in that regard as well .

But the heart of this beast and really all environmental destruction is just to many peoples for a finate resource to manage.
It works against theism of a certain sort and that notion will never be accepted.
God will always provide and they are taught indeed to go forth and multiply.

Whole scale destruction is the only thing that will drive these particular theists from their well honed beliefs.
When that occurs they will loose their faith and find another. HOpefully a less destructive one.
But probably not.

It's coming. No biblist armegedon....deaths of peoples never seen before directly related to the destruction too many people cause.
Ironic. The demons will however be quite quite happy for a while. Eating and feasting to their hearts desire.
Fear and sorrow, it is their preference. Humans, fear and sorrow.

So a balance of sorts....some will be happier as result....for a while.

This Saha world is ugly, isn't it? What a great reason to take Dharma practice more seriously!
