new developments in the processing of your corpse

A place for discussion of current events. Buddhist news would be particularly appreciated.

It depends on the lama and the situation, whether it is a public teaching, a retreat, or more like an audience? I could take it up with Gyalwang Drukpa for example.
There are traditional teachings, told by Thinley Norbu e.g., that a Nirmanakaya who teaches Dharma is a special type of Nirmanakaya, and that there are many are types of Nirmanakaya too,...

Take it up with whoever you want whenever you want and then get back to us with their answer (please).

Lady Gaga has never been an interesting thing for me, I know only one line of her songs, a line that seems to admire the use of cannabis, a substance that is harmful to you in many ways, is not conducive to the development of meditation and wisdom, gets you into bad ways of life, gets you into jail, and so on...
When she writes a song about the importance of the Pancha Sila (Five precepts) then let me know!

best wishes !

New developments have taken place, this process is called Alkaline Hydrolysis . Here is a very interesting video about this new & "green" method of disposing the human corpse:

In Britain in recent years Woodland Burial in biodegradable wicker containers has started to become popular. A tree is planted over your body, so I suppose when you decompose you nourish the tree. Seems a much more pleasant & sustainable way of being disposed than being pumped full of preservatives and buried in a varnished box, or being set on fire.
