Okay everyone, I have offically made the leap from Theravada to Pure Land and I'm very happy. Thanks to everyone who commented here. I have a few things to iron out for daily practice, but they are not major things. Thanks again!

Wow I lived in Ireland for a number of years, Co. Westmeath & I've been to Belfast. I distributed a lot of Pure Land books from the Amitabha society in the Irish Library sytem. Here's a link to a pure land buddhist website in Ireland:

There is a great Jodo Shinshu temple in London 3 Wheels & Rev. Sato used to write to me & is a great teacher.http://www.threewheels.co.uk/
There is also a Fo Guang Temple in London; they combine Ch'an and Pure Land, nice bunch. http://www.londonfgs.org.uk/
Finally my sect Jodo Shu has an online sangha: over at google groups: http://groups.google.com/group/jodoshubuddhism we have Stephen & Shinri both ordained priests who are regulars, Bishop Atone will also answer questions. So feel free to visit.

I've written an essay about how Pure Land is in accordance with the Pali Canon, for those who care such things. I consider Theravada my second home, so to speak.
