When we think about realization of relative truth, what is that thinking?"

Is it mental energy, consciousness, karma? Display, grasping to something, "me" (and so not you  )?

Mental activity? What is active?

1.The second question is answered by the first one.
2. The realization of relative truth= impermanence, interdependency, cause and effect. :namaste:

If you take a look at thinking, what is doing the looking? Mind has a quality of a mirror, and when you turn it on itself, it has a quality of two mirrors facing each other.

Thinking: "If you put your finger in a flame you will burn it because the flame is hot."

Realization of relative truth: put your finger in a flame and realization will be the effect.

Kind regards

Great for contemplation. Thinking looks to essence. :thanks:

That is a clear example of no extremes or emptiness is not nothingness. :anjali:

Another example, a very "standard" one:

Thinking: "Sound is impermanent, because of being a product"

Realization of relative truth: Hit a bell and realize.

Kind regards

Contemplation what thinking energy-phenomena is on itself, can really be subtle. It reveals subtle mind cheatings by digging in the mud of grasping, choosing creations related to objects. Those objects are a reflection of mind.

Ego-clinging get birth in it. Like an oister protecting itself when its' mantle is been irritated by something, the oister makes a pearl is me said. A pearl of ego?

In one approach, awareness, the thinking energy appears as wisdom and thoughts are having their own purifying power. In wisdom thoughts are not having a deluded quality. They are empty, arise spontaneous and can feed our awareness.

Practical example Mingyur. :thanks:

I've never heard the flame metaphor before. I like it a lot.

Kindly,
