A friend at our temple, Gyatrul Rinpoche's Tashi Choling, asked me to get the word out in the Buddhist parts of the blogosphere and the net in general about our nonprofit organization Vimala's Dharma store (http://www.vimalatreasures.org
), formerly known as Mirror of Wisdom. Here's a little blurb from the site about Vimala's purpose and activities:Founded in 2007 under the auspices of the Venerable Gyatrul Rinpoche, Vimala is a nonprofit Tibetan Buddhist organization devoted to facilitating spiritual development by supporting the study and practice of dharma (the teachings of the Buddha).
Vimala's activities include collecting, archiving, and disseminating dharma teachings and practices, with a particular focus on those associated with the Nyingma lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism. In addition, Vimala supports the translation of dharma in order to make it available to practitioners worldwide, and facilitates the training of future translators and teachers to help ensure that dharma will remain in the world for the benefit of future generations.
Were you trying to get to Mirror of Wisdom and found yourself here? Never fear--all of the practice texts, commentaries, commercially printed dharma books, photos, and other supports for practice that were offered by Mirror of Wisdom have found a new home here at Vimala! Learn more about us on our About Us page (http://vimalatreasures.org/about-us.aspx).
This site has everything from sutra to tantra, so it's not only a great resource for Vajrayanists or Nyingmapas. However, for new and old practitioners of the Vajrayana, it's an especially wonderful resource because of their vast archive of video, audio, transcribed teachings of many great Vajrayana masters, such as HH Dudjom Rinpoche, HH Khyentse Rinpoche, HH Karmapa, HH Penor Rinpoche, Khenpo Tsewang Gyatso, and tons more. I hope this resource may be of benefit!
*edit: can someone tell me how to edit the url's to just say "Vimala's"and "About Us"?
