We are very pleased to announce our upcoming Santi Maha Sangha (SMS) teaching and practice retreat with Jim Valby. Our retreat will be based upon The Precious Vase by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. We will study and practice the essence of the theory and practice of Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen. Any practitioner who is seriously interested in working with the transmission of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu may participate in this retreat.

Dr. Jim Valby has been a student of Dzogchen Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 1982. He earned his doctorate in Far Eastern Studies under Herbert Guenther at the University of Saskatchewan in 1983. He participates in Dzogchen Community projects helping to prepare English translations from Tibetan texts. He has taught the essence of the theory and practice of Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen in more than 115 retreats at 43 locations in 26 countries. He has an open and engaging way to explain Chögyal Namkhai Norbu’s Dzogchen teachings. He lives in Western Massachusetts, USA .
