Losar -- Mar 5

Post by gnegirl »

Wishing all a blessed and auspicious Losar! May all your best aspirations come to fruition!
"Things are not what they appear to be: nor are they otherwise." --Surangama Sutra

Phenomenon, vast as space, dharmata is your base, arising and falling like ocean tide cycles, why do i cling to your illusion of unceasing changlessness?

Happy Losar one and all!

May all beings be happy and have the causes of happiness,
May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering,
May all beings never be separated from sorrowless bliss,
May all beings live in equanimity without attachment and hatred to those near and far.
And in the coming year may this suffering world be transformed into a Pure Land.

Zen Master Seung Sahn said, “That’s simple. Atomic bombs come from the mind that likes this and doesn’t like that.”

"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."

May we all find peace and happiness in ourselves this coming year!
The essence of a real practice is to bring our intellectual understanding to the level of our heart - so as to feel it - to live it!
