Thanks, I just forwarded that to an appropriate party. The best part is the end where the Germans contest the goal.

(You should have named the thread something different to get more clicks though.)

Yes, this Monthy Pyton Video is the best.

I saw it some years befor and now it is already etched in my memory so that I have to laugh, whenever I see the Greeks playing. Because one player is called "Sokrates" (his real name is too long for the shirt).

My sons kept their fingers crossed for Greece to win against Costa Rica. They did a good job but couldn't succeed. :namaste:

Couldn't succeed? Some might say that getting to the World Cup at all is a success. Although I'd hate to have to argue it with a Greek. Poor old Gekas, missed his penalty AND had to endure the announcers pronouncing his name "Geck Ass" through half the group stage, and then they switched to "Gekkus" which isn't right either!

How about those Costa Ricans though? Amazing resuts really.

I suspect that either Greece or Costa Rica would have beaten the English team..
And we INVENTED the modern game for ***** sake !

Yes, I cross fingers for Costa Rica. I like them.

And Simon: don't take it too serious. Times are rising and falling and rising and...
In my opinion, England not only invented the soccer play, but also the bustle about the stars since Beckham became famous.
If they learn again, that matches are won by teams not by stars, evrything will rise again. I guess so.
