Sweep the dust, Push the dirt

Everyday Exile

Everyday Exile is a platform which allows Tibetans in exile anywhere in the world to share their personal stories, in words and images, with an online readership with the eventual goal of sharing these stories in print format. In 2009, Tammy came to McleodGanj, India, capital of the Tibetan government in exile and home to HH the 14th Dalai Lama. She became involved in a small non-profit where she volunteered as an English conversation teacher and helped plan events to broaden awareness of the Tibetan situation. While in McleodGanj, Tammy became acquainted with numerous Tibetan exiles, including former political prisoners, monks and nuns. Their personal stories moved her deeply. When she returned to the US and spoke about her experiences, Tammy realized that a surprising number of people have little or no knowledge of the Tibetan situation. She began to develop Everyday Exile Project, a way to bring the Tibetan situation to a wider audience. It quickly developed into an on-going internet outlet for Tibetan exile voices.

Wake Up and Laugh! - group blog of followers and admirers of Daehaeng Kunsunim.

Sujato's Blog - the title says it.
"There is no such thing as the real mind. Ridding yourself of delusion: that's the real mind."
(Sheng-yen: Getting the Buddha Mind, p 73)

“Don’t rashly seek the true Buddha;
True Buddha can’t be found.
Does marvelous nature and spirit
Need tempering or refinement?
Mind is this mind carefree;
This face, the face at birth."

It is always delightful to read Huseng's blog:
http://huayanzang.blogspot.com/

Ven. Huifeng have a blog too, but he seemed to have stopped posting since 2008:
http://wisdom.buddhistdoor.com/huifeng/

This blog has excellent study materials for the Abhidharmakosa:

If you believe certain words, you believe their hidden arguments. When you believe something is right or wrong, true of false, you believe the assumptions in the words which express the arguments. Such assumptions are often full of holes, but remain most precious to the convinced.

About the time I subscribed to Thurman's podcasts, he stopped updating them. I'd like to think it wasn't personal :? .

I like his style of teaching, although he has apparently exasperated some of my friends. Ah well, to each his/her own.

I would strongly suggest that anyone posting a link to a blog should write 1-3 lines speaking briefly about it: what it speaks about, what do you think about it, etc. In that way, members didnt have to chek everyone, one by one, but only the most interesting ones.

Just an idea of coarse. :)

Bhante Dhammika's blog is very useful. He talks about current events and issues and mostly draws from the Pali Canon, but not exclusively. He was a Theravada monk, but now is actually "officially" a Mahayana monk. He talks about Buddhayana in one of his books and this is more like what he practices and teaches, but definitely focuses on the early teachings / early Buddhism.

He is a regular contributor / editor at Dhamma Wiki too.
