Even pictures of this great master contain the capacity to greatly inspire. I thought I'd create a thread to pay respect to him.
I like this "action shot" because he seems to be consciously sending out a lot of energy.
Here he is sitting with the dignity and the determination of a Buddha.
His eyes which see the true nature of all things...
Lastly, he looks like just a sweet grandfather in this picture.

Re: H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche pics
Certainly was a Golden Lama !
Abandoning Dharma is, in the final analysis, disparaging the Hinayana because of the Mahayana; favoring the Hinayana on account of the Mahayana; playing off sutra against tantra; playing off the four classes of the tantras against each other; favoring one of the Tibetan schools—the Sakya, Gelug, Kagyu, or Nyingma—and disparaging the rest; and so on. In other words, we abandon Dharma any time we favor our own tenets and disparage the rest.

Do not forget the lama
Pray to him at all times,
Do not carried away by thoughts
Watch the nature of mind.
Do not forget death
Persist in dharma.
Do not forget sentient beings
With compassion dedicate your
merit to them.......Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
