In Aceh, Sumatra, a town called Biruen, a few days ago only, a Sakyamuni Buddha statue was reported as 'shedding tears of water' and attracting the usual curious crowds of both Buddhists and non-Buddhists.

In medieval Europe, churches developed a myriad of creative techniques for making statues of Mary weep, which they would take on tours - letting it be known that the appropriate response when viewing such a miracle was to give cash. :rolling:
