A collage is a kind of art where... Oh never mind. The best way to join a Buddhist college is by finishing high school.

I imagine in a lot of ways it's similar to a catholic college, except instead of learning about Catholicism it teaches you about Buddhism. I'm not really sure though, just taking a punt.

To borrow Ven. Huifeng's analogy, in the army they shave your head, tell you exactly how to fold your uniform and make your bed, and make you do meaningless drills designed to break down your personality and make a soldier out of you. I mean, monk.

They'll teach you some Buddhism in there too, by the way!
And, being Buddhists, we don't have personalities... mwahahahaha!!!

Hi Tiger, in the USA Naropa University is the closest you may get. This was established by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. It is located in Boulder Colorado. Check the link here http://www.naropa.edu/about-naropa/index.php

It's clear that the education system in Florida has failed you so far, especially if you are only now learning that there are such things as libraries, that libraries contain books, and that you can learn from reading those books.

Finish school and get out of Florida. Colorado would be a good start. Until then, get to the library and study.

From the OP's track record, I am inclined to think otherwise. To state that about a state's education, you must have extraordinary evidence unless it was meant as a pun to the OP...

There is also dharma realm university in California. I don't think one has to be a monastic to attend.

Any college that has a Religion department will have courses in Buddhism, but if you're looking for a college with inherent Buddhist values look into Soka University (in Orange County, CA) and Naropa University (in Boulder, CO).

Oh yes, the Five Colleges (that's Amherst, Hampshire, UMass Amherst, Mount Holyoke and Smith) offer a Buddhist Studies concentration. I'm thinking of applying to Hampshire myself. Smith and MH are both woman's colleges, jsyk.

Dharma Realm in California is a true old school Chinese Buddhist monastery with a Buddhist university,

unlike Soka which is part of the Soka Gakkai neo-buddhist cult..ugh.

ps as for a buddhist collage, you'd have to ask an artist...

The Tai-ching states "the women in the realms of Mara, Sakra and Brahma all neither abandoned ( their old) bodies nor received (new) bodies. They all received buddhahood with their current bodies (genshin)" Thus these verses state that the dharma nature is like a great ocean. No right or wrong is preached (within it) Ordinary people and sages are equal, without superiority or inferiority
