Are these prophecies from Buddha?

Post by Nosta »

Have you ever read about this prophecies?

Never read nothing like this, so I would like to ask if the sayings are really from Buddha. If so, they are real because Buddha wouldnt lie. On the other hand, there is the possibility that these prophecies are kind of hoax.

I would like to read your opinions.

I have to say...Those are some very depressing prophecies....

i didnt read the sixteen dreams but the ones i read are happening to some degree.

the 2nd prophecy of the buddha rings very true and accurate and i believe it 100%
If the thought of demons
Never rises in your mind,
You need not fear the demon hosts around you.
It is most important to tame your mind within....

In so far as the Ultimate, or the true nature of being is concerned,
there are neither buddhas or demons.
He who frees himself from fear and hope, evil and virtue,
will realize the insubstantial and groundless nature of confusion.
Samsara will then appear as the mahamudra itself….

Well, looks like it's all coming true.
"My second dream was about tiny trees and shrubs which burst through the soil. When they were scarcely more than a few inches high, they flowered and bore fruit. This was my second dream. What will come of it?"

"Sire," said the Buddha, "this dream will be realized in future days when the world has fallen into decay and when human lives are short. Passions then will be so strong that even very young girls will cohabitate with men. Despite their immaturity, they will get pregnant and have children. The flowers and fruit symbolize their babies. However, you have nothing to fear from this. Tell me your third dream."
I have heard that due to hormones in food, puberty is beginning as early as nine for some girls.
Equanimity is the ground. Love is the moisture. Compassion is the seed. Bodhicitta is the result.

-Paraphrase of Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tsephel citing the Guhyasamaja Tantra

"All memories and thoughts are the union of emptiness and knowing, the Mind.
Without attachment, self-liberating, like a snake in a knot.
Through the qualities of meditating in that way,
Mental obscurations are purified and the dharmakaya is attained."

Like Christ's prediction of wars and earthquakes, was there ever a time when these "prophecies" were NOT true?

I had the same thought.
Meditate upon Bodhicitta when afflicted by disease

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when sad

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when suffering occurs

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when you are scared
