Hello, Is anyone familiar with this particular deity or mandala? Is it some form of Kurukulla without the normal bow? Sorry for the blurry photo. Thanks.

I think that's Drikung Red Tara. But I could be wrong.

Looks like Vajravarahi to me. But I could be wrong.

Unfortunately this is only available in German, French and Dutch:

But she is a form of Vajrayogini:

It is definitely some Red Tara/Kurukula, but i don´t know which lineage.

Drikung Red Tara from Terton Osel Dorje is seated and holds a hook in upper right hand, bow string in lower right hand, lotus flower in upper left hand and bow in the lower left. In her mandala there is Kurukulle, red Jambhala, red Ganapati and red Mahadeva.

Thanks for the input so far. It was painted by some friends of mine for a Nyingma ngakpa lama, according to a text he provided, but then he never picked up the finished product. So we are trying to figure out exactly which mandala and lineage this is from.

Who was the Lama?

The Red Tara at the bottom looks like it may be Rigjed Lhamo from the Apong Terton Red Tara Cycle to me, mainly because of the peaceful smile.

Dzoki, if the image of the Drikung Red Tara you describe above is the same as the one with which I'm familiar, a figure is seated cross-legged in the upper right corner, wearing red and gold robes and with a hand on each knee. Do you know if this is the terton Osel Dorje or some other person? Thanks.

Thanks, Dzoki. Yes, that's the image I have too. The only photo of Osel Dorje that Google Images reveals shows him in the same posture and with the same sort of topknot.
