An expression of gratitude to Ordained Sangha members

Postby rowboat » Thu Apr 12, 2012 5:25 am

I would like to express my gratitude to Ven. Bhikkhu Samahita, for all his kind and generous instruction here, and to Ven. Bhikkhu Pesala for all his kind and generous instruction, and also to the other esteemed bhikkhus and bhikkhunis at Dhammawheel.

Hello rowboat,

Sadhu! Well said!

We owe a lot to our ordained members who take the time to answer questions, post their understanding on threads, and for teaching us the Dhamma.

I join you in thanking the Sangha members of dhamma wheel. :anjali:
He turns his mind away from those phenomena, and having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.'
(Jhana Sutta - Thanissaro Bhikkhu translation)

Greetings rowboat,

Well said.

I'd like to just quickly say that for a significant proportion of Dhamma Wheel members, for whatever reason, this is our local Sangha. Therefore, the ordained members who frequent this site are the closest we have to resident bhikkhus and bhikkhunis, even though they themselves will (appropriately so) regard their local meatspace Sangha as their local community.

Nonetheless, to the laity here, the presence of ordained members of the Buddhasasana is a massive blessing and we recognise it as such.

Thank you to all Dhamma Wheel's ordained members and to our members who afford them due respect.

Metta,
Retro. :)
