There was a thread regarding Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche last year.
Now there is http://www.long-yang.org/dharma-origin-original-dharma with the following text:
"After more then three decades of research Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche has rediscovered the roots of his lineage in the far Eastern Tibetan Chinese borderlands, more specific in the Chinese province Sichuan. The starting point of this journey was to find the evidence of an intact lineage connected to Vairocana, the translator of the 7th century. Unexpected after the long duration of this journey was the outcome.
From the beginning of this quest until recent times, he connected for that purpose with various lineages and schools of Tibetan Buddhism presumably holding at least a part of this original lineage. Unfortunately with none of those lineages whether in the Nyingma or Kagyu (and other) schools of Tibet there was any sensible emphasis or knowledge of this transmission left. Just some textual references, reading transmissions, but no longer any particular practices of the Vairocana lineage pursued was left.
Rinpoche carried on with his quest, searching ancient texts and any materials relating to Vairocana for more then 3 decades. When one day completed, he expected to finally perhaps find a small lineage somewhere within the frame of the Tibetan culture, but this expectation was wrong."
Opinions on this ?
Rinpoche is starting to construct a building here on the outskirts of Kathmandu and propagates the following:
"The intention of this project is to preserve and transmit the authentic centuries old knowledge of this Universal teaching to those individuals predisposed to grow through this unique path.
Once trained, by the power of this universal medicine they shall serve their own purpose as well as the needs of the community and the planet as masters, teachers and doctors."
