hi all! i am new here and ive always been attracted to Tibetan Buddhism yet i only know some things about it. anyway sorry about that thought id post after lurking on here for awhile.

You'll find that Tibetan Buddhism (Vajrayana) places a heavy emphasis on the necessity for a spiritual guide. It is a central component of Vajrayana practice.

Yes, but it's important to study and learn about it before one chooses a Vajrayana teacher, so one knows what and what not to look for: lest one end up with one of the many fraudulent deceivers out there masquerading as the real deal.
