Pretty incredible music, guys! Thanks!
There are actually 2 songs on this video: Both are from an old album i use to have called Poems and Songs from Middle Earth. I remember back in the summer of 1970 when i read Tolkein's books. Ahhh....
I think the first song is the Ents' song. The second one: "In Western Lands" comes at the part of the book where Sam thinks Frodo has been killed. He is hopeless, but sings this. In western lands beneath the Sun the flowers may rise in Spring,
the trees may bud, the waters run, the merry finches sing.
Or there maybe 'tis cloudless night and swaying beeches bear
the Elven-stars as jewels white amid their branching hair.
Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep,
beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep,
above all shadows rides the sun and stars forever dwell
I will not say the day is done nor bid the stars farewell.
For years now this is one of the songs i sing when i am down. Unfortunately, though i was never a great singer, my voice has really gone kaput with the illnesses. Nice to listen to this again though i would be surprised if anyone else likes it
