 this reminds me of those who wanna switch to becoming vegan/vegetarian but still can't give up meat totally as yet so an elaborate array of soy based dishes are given meat names to pacify their taste buds in Chinese vegetarian cuisine...

Depending on the occasion it is either Lipton tea with milk (can't take it straight) or Coke on ice with Fanta Orange on ice as a close second.

For a non-alcoholic beer that is beer in name only:
Ginger beer.

But my favourite cold fizzy beverage is Vanilla-flavoured Coke Zero.
Which I will have to renounce soon as I ween myself off all caffeine in preparation for my retreat.
kind regards,

Ben

You can stand the taste of aspartame Ben? I always drink my coke sugared.

As for non-alcoholic beer: I don't entirely trust it to be non-alcoholic (as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-alcohol_beer states it can still have 0.5% alcohol), so I don't touch it.
