I have a question regarding the importance of lineage in the correct learning of meditation. I'm a newbie and want to follow in the Bon lineage. Especially in the practices of Dzogchen and Dream Yoga. I've never received any formal teachings from anyone other than reading about mediation practices and seeing what on TV and the Movies. I now know enough after reading some books that learning from master is a must. I'm disabled with Neuropathy and have a very limited area I can travel to. Where I live we have a Nyingma lineage meditation program. Would this still be suitable to follow in the Bon lineage teachings and and I worry what the teachers at the Nyingma lineage meditation program would think if I told them I want to learn to follow Bon? I don't want to offend anyone. Any input or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There are two options open to you (as far as I can see):

1. Do a web search for Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche.
2. Follow the advice in the following video:

There are two places through Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche's Ligmincha Institute where you can study and receive online transmission.
This one: https://www.ligminchalearning.com/ has online courses based on Bon and has a senior student as mentor of the course.

This one: http://www.glidewing.com/twr/soundhealing_rinpoche.html you have direct contact with and support by Rinpoche and can ask him questions.
There is transmission in both formats.

Also Rinpoche has ustream teaching videos, search for Ligmincha. There are also Youtube videos.
The next live online free full day retreat is in July. The current head of Bon will be participating in part of the online retreat.
More info at Lingmincha.org
